  The store presents wonderfully however it is the customer experience where we have had difficulty in. My husband was judged upon entering the store (he was in his tradie clothes) and was shown cheaper engagement rings, it wasn't until he gave his price range when others were suddenly shown to him.
  The engagement ring resize took approximately 8 weeks and needed to be done twice (I needed to pressure the delivery date as the ring wasn't looking like it was going to be ready for our engagement party).
  Bought my wedding band with no trouble. But it did keep spinning around on my finger which was worrying for diamonds popping out. After being married and told by the store that they didn't like to solder rings together, I got them done at a well known Melbourne icon professionally.
  Eventually the claws on my almost 1 carat diamond came loose, and Cliveden as a store refused to take this under their warranty as work had been done elsewhere. The claws were tightened however it was done messy and not as I had left it with them. I left the store in tears as the store clerk told me "it was just the way it was".
  The diamond hiding under my big engagement stone was suddenly not as shiny as it initially was either. 12 months later a small diamond on the shoulder of my engagement ring popped out (thankfully found it) so I took it back to Cliveden as they should have an opportunity to fix something of their own. I was met with basic refusal because another jeweler had touched the ring previous (same thing happened with the claws, that time they fixed it). Despite my trying to explain to them that the jeweler who had worked on it was actually more reputable than this store and with craftsmen on site, I was met with an ultimatum, "If they were separate then we could fix them". There was no acknowledgement of responsibility of craftsmanship of either the claws coming loose, diamond popping out or the dullness of a stone protected by many others after repairs done by them. Instead finger pointing at the other jeweler and at myself for not looking after them. I work in an office, I take the ring off at home and when doing any laborious work.
  My Engagement ring is not even 5 years old, wedding band not even 3. In such a small time these major things have gone wrong. We spent close to $10K on both rings. You would hope the store would help a customer. Apparently not, simply because the ring was worked on by someone else. Therefore making the warranty with Cliveden void.
  Now my rings are being re-set by hand, basically being done properly to ensure longevity and something I will be able to pass down and be proud of.
  This is my experience with Cliveden. Wanted to share a real experience.
