- Cheyne Added March 09, 2020★ ★ ★ ★ ☆I'm not the biggest fan of going out to eat katsu since I can just go to my family's house and have them make it for me, but my boyfriend has been wanting to try Hako so we decided to go for lunch.
There was about a 15-25min wait on Yelp, but we were seated immediately. Ordered the Katsu + Soba combo with additional miso soup and rice for about $20. It was the perfect amount of food to share and even though their katsu sauce is not traditional, it was pretty good with the katsu! A set comes with plenty of food - cutlet, rice, salad, soup, pickled veggies and curry (if you choose). If you get the non-curry cutlet option, you get the sesame seeds to grind into your own paste for dipping. I thought everything tasted really good and it was a really good portion size - I was stuffed! It is a korean-owned restaurant, and staff was really friendly and food came out quickly.

Rice portion that came with the meal was on the small side but the overall meal was adequate to satisfy a hungry person. Can get very busy during peak eating times.

The steak was so fantastic that I only thought about taking a photo after half of it was eaten.
