  I decided to use this company as the representative Mark seemed to be professional and the brochures were certainly beautifully presented. I was fooled very disappointed! Firstly, their packers arrived and seemed very good but didn’t complete the packing and had to leave for another job. Next day they were to arrive about 9.00am arrived 1.00pm still lots to pack...running out of time several other packers were called...this resulted in chaos and a box fell through the study window. JR organised O’Brien’s late that night to replace the broken glass window and then the next day a handyman to paint the frame. The chattels were then stored for approximately 8 months at John Ryan Removals.
  
  February, 2020 chattels were delivered to the new residence....what a nightmare! This amounted to considerable damage to antique pieces of furniture plus breakages, etc. There was a commercial shredder smashed due to it being dropped on the pavement, but even worse the crew member tried to hide it. The crew seemed to be pleasant but the language left a lot to be desired. The manager of the complex complained to me not only about the language but also about items being placed against newly painted walls...plus there are several marks on the walls in the brand new apartment caused by removalist. I have since spoken to a Helen re the damage. She asked me to send photos, and a description in writing, etc.. She then sent me a claim form which was completed and emailed back to John Ryan...Nothing has happened since... I have withheld the last payment; the furniture, shredder, etc.needs to be replaced or repaired...I rang last week and response was “haven’t you heard from our broker.”..NO. I have never heard from the broker or the sales representative the only person you speak to is Helen who answers the phone when you call John Ryan Removals....

  This was one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. I chose them because they were the most expensive and told me that I would get top level service. Bad administration, rough, rude staff, broken furniture and no apology

  Moving is never easy but we were wrapped with our choice of John Ryan removals from the quotation stage through to completion of our move. Our sales rep Keith was at all times polite, courteous and kept us well informed of the timetable and process. Our uplift team led by truck driver Andy and Steve and Jim did a great job loading and we could see the thought and effort involved throughout the process to ensure the safety of our goods in transit. Similarly on unloading Andy, Adam and Max did a great job and were at all times professional. courteous and efficient. Nothing was a problem even when furniture didn't fit where we thought and a lap of the house was involved! Never thought we would but Deb and I actually enjoyed the process thanks to the nature of all the crew involved in our move. Thanks heaps to John Ryan Removals

  I was very impressed with the assessor who visited my property to enable them to quote for my job. The quote was turned around quickly. The actual removalists were also very friendly, hard working and helpful.
  I found the service to be great value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending them or using them again.

  Right from the start they acted professionally and impressed me! This was further confirmed as our move drew closer- their communication was spot on and I knew at every stage what was happening. On the day of our move their guys arrived on time, as promised and nothing was too hard for them. Even as Melbourne threw some of the worst weather at them , they soldiered on and just got it done! They completed our move in one day, as promised. I would highly recommend John Ryan Removals to anyone whether it's personal or business. Well Done JRR!

  We moved from country Victoria to Melbourne which we found stressful but I can say all staff at John Ryan Removals put our mind at ease by taking care of all our furniture and treasured items. Very professional staff and appreciated the care taken when packing our home for the move.
  Would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to move wanting professionals to look after you from start to end.
